Who we Are

"Fun and formal" is the motto of the owner, Kristina Knapic who bought and refurbished the sprawling Acacia Mansion in 2004. Nestled in the center of the Ojai Valley on what used to be hundreds of acres of orange groves is now a walled Estate close to Downtown Ojai. During the town’s earliest days, many came to learn the teachings of Krishnamurti of the Krotona Institute and one wealthy follower, a widow named Madeleine Baird, built her dream home.  Madeleine brought many artisans from Europe to create a jaw dropping two-story entryway with alabaster floors and stained glass windows. Many of the ceilings are hand painted and the sweeping iron staircase is a beautiful backdrop for photos.

The Acacia Mansion offers overnight accommodations  which includes five bedrooms and a separate guest house.  

What We Do

Weddings are celebrated year-round at The Acacia, along with private parties and corporate events. WE are known for great theme events, like Old West Casino nights and belly dancers for a Moroccan-themed birthday party.
